CALLING ALL SOUTH WEST COMPANIES!!
As of October 2009 Backline will be offering free driver CPC training! That's right, FREE!
Let our qualified CPC trainer educate your drivers in our approved training centre in Exeter. The course consists of 35 hours of lecture based training and is broken down into 7 hour blocks, 5 days training over a 5 year period. (1 module per annum). Qualification is by attendance.
What is CPC?
CPC stands for Certificate of Professional Competence and all drivers who operate Tachograph fitted vehicles need to hold a CPC by September 2014.
If your driver has held their licence since before September 2009, they acquire “Grandfather Rights” which means that they automatically hold a CPC qualification. However, these Grandfather Rights expire in September 2014 and quality systems such as ISO and internal compliance & auditing protocols require certification for all drivers so it is advisable to train all of your drivers, even if they currently have Grandfather Rights.
Renewal of driver CPC will be required every 5 years. Backline recommend ongoing 7 hour modules once every year for all drivers.
